Freshly Baked Bread by Difference Bakery - Lau Pa Sat Raffles Place Singapore

Eating warm freshly baked bread in the morning with a cup of coffee or tea is simply irresistible, I just love it - who doesn't?!

If you are working near Lau Pa Sat at Raffles Place Singapore or near Raffles Place MRT, why not give yourself a treat and visit this bakeshop selling freshly baked bread. The queue can get so long so be early and besides... you get to see more varieties of bread before they run out.

It is located at Lau Pa Sat at #01-3342 and if you have trouble finding this store number, it is next to Wendy's and OCBC ATM.

I always buy the Mushroom and Cheese bread, yummy!!!

Homemade Bread

My aunt used to run a bakeshop and cafeteria at the corner of a busy street in our town. I remember looking after the shop during summer vacation and would occasionally play with the dough with Mang June, the baker.

After a few years, I am finally able to bake bread! It feels great learning something new and felt like I gained +1 level up for baking a bread!

 How to Bake a Bread

Ingredients:
Flour, Yeast, Sugar, Salt
Milk and Vanilla Extract

I followed the YouTube videos from the links below and learned the basics in making the dough. I used milk and a drop of vanilla as topping + sprinkled some flour as well.

I don't own any measuring cups (except the measuring cups from the rice cooker) nor those spoons so I had to use my instincts. Fresh from the oven, the crust was crispy and not easy to slice. The bread sure was heavy as well, so I figured that I can improve this even more. And it was all finished - we ate it! I guess I should have added more sugar and let it sit longer to make it more fluffier, what do you guys think?
